We are thrilled to announce that the American Association of Indian Pharmacy Professors (AAIPP) is supporting the nomination of Dr. Vibhuti Arya for the position of President-Elect of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA)!


Dr. Arya is a Professor at St. John's University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and a Clinical Advisor to the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Throughout her distinguished career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing public health, advocating for underserved communities, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in pharmacy practice.
Some of Dr. Arya's key accomplishments include:


**Integrating pharmacists into public health initiatives in high-risk, medically underserved areas in NYC
**Advising on legislation related to pharmacy practice and access to care

Serving in leadership roles across various professional bodies, including APhA, APHA, AACP, and the Pharmacy Quality Alliance
**Receiving the Sustained Contributor Award from the APHA Pharmacy Section
**Leading a team that won the MIT Hacking Racism Challenge in Social Justice and Policy
**Giving a TEDx talk on structural racism

Congratulations to Dr. Rajender R. Aparasu, Ph.D., FAPhA, Mustafa & Sanober Lokhandwala Endowed Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes and Policy (PHOP) at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, for being awarded the prestigious 2024 APhA Academy of Pharmaceutical Research & Science (APRS) Research Achievement Award!


Dr. Aparasu's groundbreaking research in outcomes and pharmacoepidemiology, particularly focusing on enhancing medication quality in older adults, has earned him this esteemed recognition. His extensive contributions include editing four textbooks, publishing over 175 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and delivering over 250 presentations globally.
Moreover, his commitment to advancing pharmaceutical sciences extends beyond research. Dr. Aparasu has played a pivotal role in mentoring students, building academic programs, and securing significant research funding, including a recent $1.6 million grant from AHRQ.


We're proud to celebrate Dr. Aparasu's exceptional accomplishments, which epitomize excellence in academia, research, and mentorship. Dr. Aparasu was honored with the award at the APhA Annual Meeting & Expo in Orlando, Fla., March 22-25.

Celebrating Excellence: Dr. Milap C. Nahata Receives 2024 Remington Honor Medal

🏅 AAIPP is honored to announce that Milap C. Nahata, MS, PharmD, Director, Institute of Therapeutic Innovations and Outcomes (ITIO), and Professor Emeritus, Pharmacy, Pediatrics, & Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University, College of Pharmacy has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Remington Honor Medal by the American Pharmacists Association (APhA)! 🎉

Dr. Nahata will be officially recognized during the APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition in Orlando, FL, March 22–25, 2024.

With nearly 50 years of dedicated service to the pharmacy profession, Dr. Nahata's contributions as an educator, researcher, practitioner, and volunteer leader have left an indelible mark. As Professor Emeritus at The Ohio State University, his leadership and mentorship have inspired generations of pharmacists.

Dr. Nahata's impact extends far beyond academia. His pioneering work in pediatric pharmacy has transformed the field, leading to significant advancements in medication safety and efficacy for pediatric patients. With nearly 600 peer-reviewed articles and numerous accolades to his name, including the APhA Gloria Niemeyer Francke Leadership Mentor Award, Dr. Nahata's legacy is truly unparalleled.
